Steven Spielberg

December 18, 2006

Doing his Moe Howard impression.

Like it or not, Steven Spielberg is a movie legend. He is certainly one of the top five directors of all time even if he is a bit of a hippy wanker. Taking the guns out of E.T. is just about inexcusable. It wasn’t like that was his original artistic vision of the film. He just had a newfound sense of responsiblity 20 years after the fact. That’s gay.

Spielberg’s accomplishments far outweigh such inane behavior though. Some of his movies include: Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Catch Me if You Can. He has a movie, Lincoln, in the works. I just hope it turns out half as well as Schindler’s List.

Unfortunately, not all of Spielberg’s movies are good. Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report, War of the Worlds, and Munich spring to mind.

Spielberg has also produced many more projects of varying quality.

Spielberg is 60.

Other birthdays: Christina Aguilera, Katie Holmes, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brad Pitt, and Leonard Maltin.
