Harry Shearer

December 23, 2006

Suitable for being made into a poster. Don't you think?

I love Harry Shearer. He’s been in tons of projects since he was a little boy, and of course still works on The Simpsons. Some of Shearer’s work includes roles in This is Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, and the newely released, For Your Consideration. He does a lot of voiceovers as a narrator, or plays the newsman in movies like A League of Their Own, Godzilla, The Truman Show, and Almost Heroes to name a few. He was a castmember of SNL in the extremely lean years, and the only skit I remember is the Olympic male synchronized swimming with Martin Short.

Shearer’s website is rather interesting too. I remember seeing him on the original, the only, TechTV. He was being interviewed by Leo Laporte, and was talking about his Found Objects section of his site.

Shearer is 63.

Other birthdays include: Corey Haim and Eddie Vedder.
