Masi Oka

December 27, 2006

He did it!

Masi Oka plays Hiro, my favorite character, on the best TV show running, Heroes. Oka has also done various guest spots on multiple TV shows, but nothing substantial. What is interesting, is that he is still working as a CGI artist for George Lucas‘ production company, Industrial Light & Magic. He has worked on Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Hulk, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Star Wars: Episode III – The Revenge of the Sith, War of the Worlds, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Oka will be acting in a movie that might have potential, Balls of Fury. Although, his character doesn’t appear to be a prominent one.

Oka was born in Tokyo, moved to L.A. when he was six, and was featured on the cover of Time magazine, for being an Asian-American whiz kid, by the age of 12.

Oka is 32.

Other birthdays: Gerard Depardieu, John Amos, and Emilie de Ravin.
