Tina Fey

May 18, 2007

Looks better with glasses.

I love Tina Fey.  I consider her the turning point for Saturday Night Live.  Before her prominence as head writer and her spot on Weekend Update, the show was on a downward spiral.  Since then, the show has continued to get better.  Then again, it got really good after she left, but not from her departure as much as the influx of new talent.

Fey now has her own show, 30 Rock, which I’ve only seen a few minutes of.  I liked what I saw, but am timid about getting hooked on a new show until it’s established.  We can thank FOX for that lesson learned.  Fey also wrote and starred in Mean Girls, which I’ve heard is good but refuse to watch thanks to Lindsay Lohan being involved.

Fey is 37.

Other birthdays: Yun-Fat Chow, Miriam Margolyes, Pernell Roberts, Reggie Jackson, and Brooks Robinson.

I agree with you that SNL has gotten better! It was pretty bad there for a while. Not really worth watching at all.

Mean girls was kinda funny. But I don’t have anything against Lohan, so that could have something to do with it too :)
