Michael Hitchcock

July 28, 2007

I like him.

I love Michael Hitchcock.  I think he is hilarious, and I also feel that he could probably pull off some serious drama if need be.  He’s done several of the Christopher Guest films like Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration.  He also guested on an episode of Arrested Development, and had a small part in Serenity.  He typically has small parts as he did in Happy Texas and Let’s Go to Prison.  The only knock I have on Hitchcock is that he writes for Mad TV.  That show is hit or miss of course, but it shoots like a blind cripple.

I would really like to see him get more parts in dramedies.  I think he could do really well.  Maybe he could just write his own movies. It worked for Owen Wilson.

Hitchcock is 49.

Other birthdays: Lori Loughlin, Sally Struthers, Elizabeth Berkley, Hannah Lochner, Alexis Arquette, Jim Davis, Bill Bradley, and Phil Proctor.
