Doctor Who websites

April 4, 2008

One cool thing about the internet and TV is the incorporation of fictional websites.

WhoIsDoctorWho has some games and what not, and is the site “run” by Mickey.

UNIT’s official site is pretty funny too.  Don’t forget The Doctor’s password is Buffalo.

Needless to say, I cannot wait for the new series to start this Saturday although I loath the fact that Catherine Tate is his companion.  If the character dies in this series, then I will be sufficiently mollified as long as they never find a way to bring her back.

I thought the episode was great! I thought the part when the Doctor and the Runaway Bride saw each other again was hysterical :) And, I liked that her character had grown up, and seemed a bit more “together”.

I couldn’t get past the fact that it was her. We liked the episode though.

I just wish they would bring someone like Martha on, keep her on, and not have there be some relationship brewing between the two other than just friendship. The original show never had that go on, and for obvious reason. We’ve lost two good companions already, because at some point you run out of making due with that sort of tension.

If there is anything good about Tate’s role, it’s that they aren’t falling into that trap again. She’s almost like Perri was except extremely ugly and somehow even more annoying.

Last I heard, Martha is supposed to be a regular on Torchwood next season which is almost a waste, but at least she’s got that.
